I wasn’t going to post this, since I just did a whole smoothie/shake post, but…oh, well! Too many people wanted the recipe!
Yesterday I have a really bad diet FAIL. Moe’s Southwest Grill was kind enough to bring in a catering spread to my office, but I had NO self control. None. I made myself not one, but two bowls of nachos…we are talking queso, guac, chicken, black beans, rice, pico…the whole nine yards. Whoops. Well, that meant that I had to work my ass off [literally] at the gym and then budget the rest of my meals and calories for the rest of the day. Oh, did I mention my nacho binge was at 9am. Double whoops.
I got home from the gym around 2:30pm and wasn’t planning on having dinner ready [mushroom veggie burgers with smoked onion cheese and spicy corn relish…yeah, think about that] until around 6pm. I needed a snack. My go to is always a protein shake, but I was out of spinach and frozen berries…I only had bananas. Now, peanut butter banana shakes are always my favorite, but they usually leave me with a massive amount of guilt, because I fill them with Nutella or honey and counteract the “healthy” snack. - 1 cup unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze almond milk
- 1/3 scoop Designer Whey French Vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp Just Great Stuff organic powdered chocolate peanut butter
- 1/2 banana
- ice cubes
