Protein has kind of always scared me. I guess it’s a love/hate relationship though, because I keep going back to it. Now that I have been lifting, I like to eat before, during, or after my workouts…sometimes just one of those, or all, both, who knows. I eat alot, let’s be real. Anyway, the nutrition store by my gym has their own line of supplements and I really like the S’mores flavor of their VCore Vantage Protein Powder. And I added it into a healthy, 15 grams of protein, less than 200 calorie milkshake concoction FTW!
yield: 1 serving | roughly 180 calories | 15 grams of protein
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 1/2 scoop s’mores flavored protein powder
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tbsp powdered peanut butter (PB2, Just Great Stuff, etc.)
- 1/2 cup of water
- ice cubes
1. Add all ingredients into a blender immediately following a muscle-tired workout.
2. Blend and enjoy.
