A friend of mine recently posted about the Disney Fit Challenge that is going on a the ESPN Wide World Of Sports Complex in Kissimmee, FL on September 26 & 27. I won’t be able to make the trip down the down there [work, husband’s birthday, etc.], but it seems like it would be awesome!
After looking at the workouts, I would fall between the “Scale Division” and the “RX Division.” (closer to the Scale, to be honest. With some training, I think I could fall more into the RX side of things, but I would need to work on my Cross-Fit exercises.) Here is what I have put together for myself to used as a full-body training day when I need to shake up my weekly routine.
DISNEY FIT CHALLENGE
- Air Squats
- Weighted Squats
- Wall Ball Shots (weighted throw)
- Plyometric Movements (box jumps, star jumps, cross toe touch)
- Dumbbell Presses
- Dead Lifts/Power Lifts/Power Squats
- Knees-To-Elbows (standing, planked, or on chin up bars)
- One mile run
